Maruti Ciaz completes trial production, SX4 already killed

New Maruti Suzuki Ciaz is all ready to be launched in the country by September 2014, just ahead of the festive season. The first batch of production has already been successfully completed at Manesar plant of Maruti Suzuki India. Seen as a replacement to the outgoing SX4 sedan, that has not been doing very well lately, the upcoming Ciaz is undergoing extensive tests at the company plant in Manesar currently.

Shown at 2014 Auto Expo, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz is based on Suzuki’s Authentics concept, showcased at 2013 Shanghai Motor Show. Once launched, the Ciaz will be priced a bracket of INR 7.2 lakh to INR 10.5 lakh, and will compete against Hyundai Verna, Honda City and Vento. Maruti Suzuki India has already stopped production of SX4.

Ciaz will sport a 1.3 liter Multijet diesel engine or 1.4 liter K Series petrol engine seen on board the Ertiga. It will come in with a host of features with heavy emphasis on safety which will include ABS with EBD besides others. Features will also include keyless entry, push button start and leather seating while the Ciaz will sit on 16” alloy wheels...

Spied – Maruti Ciaz (Suzuki Alivio) production version fully revealed

These latest spyshots from Chinese website AutoHome reveal the production version of the Maruti Ciaz, which will be called Suzuki Alivio in the Chinese market.

A near production version of the sedan was revealed at the Beijing Motor Show last month. Compared to the concept Ciaz shown at the Auto Expo, the Beijing show car featured production-ready bumpers, wing mirrors, headlights, taillights, door handles and wheels.

The front fascia of the sedan gets a chrome grille and chrome highlights for the foglight enclosures. The headlights feature projector lights and the shape of the cluster looks identical to the concept Ciaz. Towards the rear, the taillight cluster looks strikingly similar to that of the 2014 Honda City. At least for the Chinese market, the Alivio gets dual exhaust pipes located neatly within the rear bumper...

Suzuki Alivio sedan spied in China

 These are the first-ever spy pictures of the production version of the new Suzuki Alivio sedan seen testing in China. The Suzuki Alivio sedan is expected to come to India as the SX4 replacement and could be called the Maruti Ciaz.

As seen from the spy pictures, the Suzuki Alivio carries over most of its concept-looks into the production version such as the wide chrome grille, large multi-element wrap-around headlamps with projector units and other exterior bits as well.

Rear styling is also similar to the concept but the main thing to notice here is that the exhaust tips are incorporated into the bumpers just like on the concept car. This provision is unique for a sedan in this class. However, the Indian version may get a bit toned down styling such as conventional exhaust arrangement with reflectors taking place of the Alivio’s exhausts seen in these pictures.

The Suzuki Alivio’s interiors are expected to be more spacious than the SX4. The cabin is expected to have an upmarket look which will be on par with the likes of the new Honda City and Hyundai Verna. Rear-seat comfort is on the priority list for Maruti...

Maruti Suzuki is reportedly gearing up to launch its much anticipated Ciaz ahead of the festive season this year, claims a new report.

Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, the replacement of the company's underperforming SX4 sedan has hit the web numerous times through spied images and reports. Now a latest report in Financial Express, citing its sources close to the development says that Maruti will launch the Ciaz in the domestic market by September this year. The report also states that the company has started the trial production of Ciaz at its Manesar facility.

The Ciaz, the new sedan offering of Maruti was first seen at the Delhi Auto Expo 2014 and is based on the Suzuki Authentics concept car, which was displayed at the 2013 Shanghai Motor Show. Ever since Maruti Suzuki showcased the Ciaz concept at the 2014 India Auto Expo, Indians have taken to eagerly awaiting the launch of the car. This is because the design of the concept exciting and nothing like we’d come to expect to see from Maruti. The car is sleek, low-slung, and slinky, a far cry from the poor proportions of the model it is replacing- the slow-moving SX4.

A close-to-production version of the car was previewed by the Alivio concept at the recently concluded Beijing Auto Show 2014. It has now emerged that Maruti will launch the sedan in India before festive season kicks off here.

Car makers are known to put off launched until Q4 2014 so as to take advantage of the festive spirit that grips the whole nation around that time. Maruti will look to preempt the slew of launches starting October by launching the new Ciaz in Q3 2014, which is between July and September.

Triumph will bring in Cruisers, Adventure ranges to India

Triumph Motorcycles, the iconic British super sports motorcycle brand, is planning to bring to India its popular Cruisers and Adventure range of bikes to strengthen its product portfolio in the lucrative high-end bikes market in India.

It will also introduce in India its 250 cc global bike which would be debuted in the international markets next financial year. This bike was showcased at the Milano Auto Show last November.

Triumph competes with the international brands such as American Harley-Davidson, Italian Ducati, Japanese Kawasaki, Yamaha, Honda, and American Indian in the growing top end motorcycle market in Asia’s third biggest economy.

Ford launches Endeavour facelift

Ford has launched the 2014 Endeavour SUV here. The new car gets exterior cosmetic changes and some new styling trims on the inside. The 2014 Ford Endeavour is available in three variants.

On the outside, there's a new front grille, wrap around headlamps and refreshed bumper. The fog lamp bezel is new as well, as are the 16-inch alloy wheels. All variants get a new lockable spare wheel cover. On the inside, Ford has added some new styling trims.
