Honda has been having a great run recently and it isn’t just limited to the Indian market. Reports reveal that the Honda Mobilio MPV has outdone its primary rival- the Suzuki Ertiga in the Indonesian market.
Honda launched the Mobilio in Indonesia only in January 2014 and has already managed to move 18,341 units of the car. Indonesia is known to have a penchant for Multi-Purpose Vehicles (MPV, also known as Multi-Utility Vehicle- MUV) but the real extent of their love for large cars is revealed by the fact that both the top 2 cars selling in the market are MPVs.
The Honda Mobilio has hastily made its way to the top of the Indonesian car market within 3 months of its launch. P.T. Honda Prospect Motor, the primary dealer for the car in the country, has delivered 18,341 units of the car so far.

In its first month of operations in Indonesia, the Mobilio ended up being number 18 in the country. Honda then sold 6,241 units of the MPV in February. This catapulted it to the third position in the market. March saw the car do a whopping 10,592 units in sales, helping it beat the Suzuki Ertiga to grab hold of second spot. The Suzuki Ertiga managed to only do 3,475 units the last month...
