Piaggio the Italian automobile manufacturer has launched the Sprint scooter in Italy. This new scooter is the sporty version of the company’s another scooter the Primavera. The Sprint scooter gets its name from the iconic Sprint model which the company used to sell in the 1960’s.
The Vespa Sprint shares the same one piece steel chassis and engine with the Primavera. Piaggio has equipped this new scooter with a host of cosmetic enhancements to give the new scooter a sporty appeal and a new different look. The Sprint model replaces the Vespa S internationally, which was based on the older Vespa LX model.
The Vespa Sprint features an all new 12-inch aluminium wheels which enhance the the style and visual appeal of the scooter and at the same time helps in better handling of the scooter. Other features on the new scooter include the rectangular shaped headlight cluster design and a new grab rail. Piaggio has made the front fascia of the new scooter more angular to make it appear more sporty and at the same time has maintained the vintage demeanour of the scooter.
