Tata Motors' British marquee brand Jaguar and Land Rover has announced a host of products for the Indian market to strengthen its position in one of the fastest growing markets for luxury vehicles.
"With the addition of the Range Rover long-wheelbase to our portfolio of luxury SUVs, customers can now choose a vehicle that offers superior levels of interior space and comfort to compete in a market dominated by saloon cars up until this point," said PhilBSE -4.89 % Popham, group marketing director, Jaguar Land Rover.

JLR sold 2,913 sedans and SUVs in India last year, up 22% from a year ago. The luxury carmaker is now looking at faster growth in 2014 with major new technological enhancements in its high-selling Range Rover Evoque. The compact luxury SUV gets a new, responsive nine-speed automatic transmission that lowers fuel consumption by 11% and reduces CO2 emissions by up to 9.5% over its predecessor.

The motoring event will also see the debut of JLR's Project 7. Created by a team led by director of design Ian Callum, its design study is based on the acclaimed new Jaguar F-Type.
This single-seater, all-aluminium body roadster features a Jaguar D- type-inspired fairing, bespoke carbon-fibre aerodynamic components, and a unique interior.
