Skoda introduces the facelift model of its very popular sedan, Skoda
Superb. The company had teased the images of the updated Superb on
social networking sites, way before its launch. The company went on
bringing quite a lot of cosmetic changes over the structure, which has
now made the sedan look better, while these have been done in order to
lure more customers.
The exteriors changes include new
front facade with a new wider grille, restyled bumper which resembles to
the one over the Octavia model, bi-xenon headlamps with integrated
daytime running LED's. It has also received new set of alloy wheels
which serves to enhance the looks of the sedan. Also gets new Skoda logo
at the front, restyled fog lamps and newly designed bonnet. The creases
over it are more prominent in order to make it look more sporty and
elegant. While on the rear end, the vehicle gets redesigned tail lamps
with LED treatment, restyled boot, LED stop lights and the licensing
plate has been fixed at the boot-lid.
As far as mechanics are concerned,
the sedan retains the same 1.8-liter TSI petrol engine and 2.0-liter TDI
diesel engine. However, the engine has been tweaked to offer high
performance and an impressive fuel efficiency of 21kmpl. The TSI engine
is combined with an option of six-speed manual and a seven-speed DSG
automatic transmission, while the 2-liter diesel gets a six-speed DSG
automatic transmission gearbox.
