The Indian Car of the year 2014 Book a Test

Only yesterday, we reported that the highly anticipated Fiat Linea facelift, which made its India debut at the recently concluded  Auto Expo 2014, will be launched in the first week of March. The Fiat Linea facelift will look considerably different than the pre-facelift model, which got some price cut and the Classic moniker sometime back, and will come to us with new features, at a more premium positioning.

As can be seen in the lead images, the Fiat Linea Classic discounts offer entitles buyers to benefits upto INR 75,000. However, as the fine print reads, the offer is applicable only on cars that were made last year and only on exchange of old cars.

Now, thanks to the information we got from the official Facebook page of Fiat India, it has emerged that the Indian subsidiary of Fiat has already started dolling out discounts on the Linea Classic, probably all in an attempt to promote the Classic as a more economical offering than the upcoming Linea facelift. This way, not just the pre-facelift Linea Classic will come across as a more value-for-money offering, it will help bestowing the Linea facelift with a more premium image.

The petrol variant is powered by the 1.4 litre four cylinder FIRE engine that never enabled the Linea to post new records at the drag strip. The very delicious 1.4 litre, turbocharged T-Jet engine has been reserved for the Linea facelift and is no longer available with the pre-facelift model. Read more..
