Verdict: A more premium feel than before in the company car department, and with much better off-roader credentials at the top of the Outdoor range.
What is it?
A major facelift of the much-loved Skoda Yeti mini SUV – one of Skoda’s best performing models since its launch in 2009 with more than 250,000 cars sold worldwide.
In 2013 the Yeti became the best-selling small SUV in Europe taking 5% of market share and more than 29,000 vehicles were sold in the UK.

The facelift takes on more of a corporate family image using the common front grille and swept rectangular headlamps similar to the rest of the Skoda range.
However, for the first time the Yeti has been split into two models with the standard two-wheel drive version aimed at the family and company car crossover market while the Outdoor model, which comes in two- or four-wheel-drive, targets the ‘green welly’ brigade seeking a rugged all-rounder with some mud-plugging ability.
Technical highlights include a new rear all-wheel-drive system that vastly increases towing capability, optimised approach and departure angles on the Outdoor, rear-view parking camera and class-leading interior storage capacity.
