Ford Brazil has released images of the upcoming Ford Ka+ sedan on the internet which has drawn the attention of a host of prospective buyers. To make its way into India early 2015 as the Figo sedan, the car will measure less than 4 meters to take advantage of small car excise duty.
For Brazil, Ford Ka+ sedan will be produced from the company plant in Camaçari, Bahia where it will be longer than 4 meters. Ka+ will receive a new three cylinder 1.0 naturally aspirated engine offering 85 hp power and 105 Nm torque claiming to be one of the most powerful engines in its category and most fuel efficient in its class. The engine will be capable of running on gasoline and ethanol. Mated to a five speed manual gearbox Ka+ high end version will also receive a 1.5 liter engine offering 111 hp that is currently seen powering the Ford Fiesta.
The sedan version of the Ka hatchback, Ford Ka+ in Brazil will compete with Chevrolet Prisma, Volkswagen Voyage and Renault Logan while once it enters Indian territory, it will have to contend with the much in demand Maruti Suzuki DZire, Honda Amaze and Hyundai Xcent....
