Mercedes Benz brings in their swanky new S Class S350 CDI to India at Rs 1.07 crores, ex-showroom Pune.
Being launched at their Centre of Excellence, also known as Merecedes Benz India plant in Pune, this diesel powered variant of the W222 S Class luxury sedan is now open for bookings at a down payment of INR 5 lakhs.
Mercedes Benz S Class S350 CDI will be powered by a 3.0 liter V6 turbocharged diesel engine sending power to rear wheels via 7G-Tronic Plus automatic gearbox. This engine offers power of 258 bhp and torque of 490 Nm. Besides changes where this engine is concerned, all other details will be identical to the S 500.
Sitting on the same chassis, the new S 350 CDI will be 100 kgs lighter and possess qualities of enhanced stiffness and lower NVH levels as compared to the older gen variant. The company has also incorporated an AIRMATIC suspension with Magic Body Control for better ride comforts.
Interiors of the S350 CDI will be well equipped with a host of comfort features and infotainment to include Burmester sound system with 24 speakers producing 1540W sound. The premium saloon also gets a Linguatronic system, a voice command system that understands each street and road name even though it may be pronounced differently...
